PRODUCT CARE

LEATHER
Your JANNA JONES bag is made using only the best leathers we can source. Every hide is unique; tonal variations, marks or veins are natural features of the leather and should not be considered imperfections. To preserve the original quality of your bag we recommend avoiding contact with water, grease, perfumes and cosmetics. Should it get wet, dab the surface with a soft natural cloth to absorb the excess moisture. Owing to the soft and supple nature of our leathers be careful not to rub your bag with anything coarse or abrasive. If marking does occur, scratches may be reduced by delicately massaging the leather against your skin as the natural oils in your skin can help reduce permanent scarring. To clean your bag we recommend using a natural leather conditioner. Always apply the conditioner to a soft clean cloth and gently rub onto the leather in a circular motion. For optimal longevity we recommend treating your bag every two months. Overexposure to extreme heat and direct light should also be avoided. This can be minimised by storing your bag in the protective dust bag provided.

LIGHT COLOURS
To preserve the original quality of light coloured leathers we recommend using a natural leather conditioner. Always apply the conditioner to a soft clean cloth and gently rub onto the leather in a circular motion. To maintain the protective coating on the leather we recommend treating your bag regularily. If bag comes in contact with any liquid, wipe it off immeditely with a soft damp cloth. Talcum powder can be applied to reduce the impact of any oil-based products. Additionally, please be careful of which surfaces you put your bag on and be aware that dyes from dark clothing can transfer to you bag (in particular, denim designed to fade), espcially when damp. When your bag is not in use, store it in the protective dust bag in a cool dry place.
